Or it might be a systemd update, other devices affected.

Confirmed. It is an issue with the systemd-217-6 package. I downgraded to systemd-216-3 and systemd-sysvinitcompat-216-3 and got both mlan0 and uap0 to work.

Note that this is not the complete sollution to a missing uap0 device!
After updating the linux-utilite package you also need to:
1, place the uImage file on the boot partition and possibly also renaming it.
2, rebuild and install the backports package.

Anyways, nice catch pepedog. Saved me a lot of time troubleshooting this :)

the maximum wireless speed I can get is somewhat 20Mbps while 54Mbps negotiated; did you manage to get anything better than that?

I did; hostapd missed this option:
Code:
ieee80211n=1

and tuned shaper up a bit, not tested much but at least 32Mbps reached

I have pursued the headings, yet I never observe the Uboot brief or config.
In another gathering post, it was recommended that control-c be squeezed while fueling up, however even that did not make me anything unmistakable, either on a connected screen or by means of sequential
