Somehow, I am pleased you had the same problem. Uprated to 3A, all ok. I got my adapter from Asda btw.
Wish I had the 3 pin version (x2 so 6 pins)

Trim-Slice now ships with Natty and power management enabled.

I have finally managed to install the latest natty on my Trim-Slice H currently without an internal disk. But I am really disappointed at the fact that the TS box gets very hot.

The cpufreq-info tells me that the current freq is 216Mhz. But it really does not make any difference if I set the freq to 1Ghz. The box stays at the same high temprerature. I measured the power consumption at these frequencies. It is about 8watts no matter what the frequency is. I think the power management does not work properly. Can anyone confirm this behaviour? When the CPU cores are idle running at 216Mhz, power consumption should drop considerably, right?

You are right, when the CPU cores are at idle the power consumption should drop. A Trim-Slice running 3.1.10-l4t.r15.02-rc2 kernel shows ~ 3.839 watt power consumption. What kernel does you Trim-Slice have?

I have the latest Ubuntu Natty (11.04) installed. It seems like the kernel version is l4t.r15.01. Is there a way to install the new kernel other than building one? I would appreciate if Natty is updated or a binary kernel module is provided. Tuncer

Sorry, it was a typo, not 3.89, the Trim-Slice shows 4.89 Watts.
Though it is less that 8 Watts. rc2 does not have any power management fixes.
Yo can look at: https://gitorious.org/trimslice-kernel/ ... r15.02-rc2.
What hardware you have connected to you Trim-Slice?
What is your Trim-Slice power consumption when all devices USB/dvi/hdmi are disconnected?
