Post Frame-buffer in MeeGo
Hi Mike,

I think there is a general move to hardfp on ARM, we at MeeGo jumped first and have been suffering a bit with driver support but it will come.

A quick update on the framebuffer,

Xorg is loading and giving some good messages but no output yet except for a brief flash. I think I need to give the conf a modeline as I've read that even though I see edid data from the kernel its not used.

On mee archlinuxarm, I have had xdm up and logged in, and lxdm logging me into lxde, I basically robbed things off stock (like xorg.conf, but you might have access to a newer one) and inittab to have -
x:5:respawn:/usr/sbin/lxdm -nodaemon

Hi

I hope its only the missing modeline.

If I need to go robbing things off the stock fs then I'm screwed as MeeGo is built with ARM hardfp ABI which is not compatable with the ubuntu userspace.

Fingers crossed.

Good progress on your side, I've used some of your info, thanks

With archlinuxarm (plugapps) could be in the same boat, so I hope HFP stuff arrives.

Are you going to try?
Funny patch that hacks out so much.

I noticed that the author has a clone of the timslice kernel on git with this patch applied.

Built it earlier but not tried it yet as I'm in the middle of testing something else first.

Will let you know.
