Post Meego for Trim Slice !
Hello all,

As Irad said, the effort to port Meego on Trim Slice has begun !

Here are the steps/actions of this project :

- Adapt Meego 1.2 (and further when available) to Trim Slice hardware
- create a custom UX for Trim Slice device and/or use an open sourced existing one with Media Center / Set top boxes functionalities in mind.

Thanks to Trim Slice Team for the help. Everybody is welcome to participate.

Post Re: Meego for Trim Slice !
Hi Guys,

Great news.

One for the Trim Slice the other for MeeGo.

I've been active in MeeGo device adaptations over the last year and have done considerable work on the Advent Vega tablet (Tegra2 based 10" tablet). See http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/TEGRA2

The main issue I found is that MeeGo in its 1.2 release and from now on is using the hardfp abi which is incompatible with the drivers released by nVidia in their last L4T release and also the drivers you released in this thread. OK for ubuntu because that uses the softfp abi.

What we need for MeeGo is for you to ask nVidia to provide you with driver binaries which have been compiled with the hardfp flags. We in the MeeGo arm team have offered to help in this but up until now we've not had any commitment form nVidia.

Hopefully you as an OEM buying parts from them may have a better chance.

Please stop by #meego-arm on freenode if you want any help with porting MeeGo to the ts.

Sorry to point out this blocker but good luck and I will provide any support I can.

vgrade

Picked up my trimslice on Saturday.

+1 for hard float nVidia binaries. Arch Linux ARM is slowly recompiling everything to use it. Good luck vgrade. :)
