Looking to try to help port Trim-Slice Pro to FreeBSD ARM for an ultra low power communications system to be ultraportable.

It will fit in a "Pelican Case", be rugged, solar powered, have HAM Radio (Elecraft KX3/ICOM 98D DSTAR) and a Satellite Dongle. The whole thing is to be under the $1,500 (US) mark. Good for "Off The Grid" living and Emergency Communications in Disasters and Expeditions.

Post Re: FreeBSD ARM
I think TrimSlice will do an excellent job as a heart of portable communication device. It has no moving parts and has a robust diecast aluminum case.
Currently, our R&D team is focused on adapting the Ubuntu and Android OSs as a main system to a TrimSlice, but we are glad to provide any help to an enthusiasts who wish to port other OSs to it
